
Melissa Brumsted (B.A. University of Montana, 2001; Candidate for MLS Simmons College, 2007) has been a student in the Simmons Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS) at Simmons College for the past two years. She is currently working as a school library assistant at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. & Amigos Schools in Cambridge, MA; taking two classes and student teaching at the Pearl K. Wise Library at the Cambridge Rindge & Latin School (CRLS). Melissa is also Co-Chairing the American Library Association Student Chapter (ALASC) at Simmons.
Melissa began pursuing her Masters Degree in Library Science with a school library teacher certificate after working for three years as a Youth Services Assistant at the Teton County Library in Jackson, WY. She has lived in upstate New York, Jackson Hole Wyoming, Missoula Montana, Mexico (Oaxaca City 1999, Cuautemoc 2004), and Boston, MA.
