This spring, YALSA (Young Adult Library Services Association) blogger and podcaster Linda Braun asked me to work with students from my school to interview author Lois Lowry. Four 8th grade students and I spoke with the author for 45 minutes and spent many hours this spring editing and polishing the audio recording of that interview. Lowry is to receive the Margaret Edwards award from the ALA (American Library Association) this week at the annual conference in Washington, D.C., and the podcast has just been posted on YALSA’s blog.
